Here's why we swear by ours as the best..

CREDIT CARDS

You can read our full advertising disclosure here.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve Card has been THE BEST travel credit card we have ever found. At the time that we applied for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, they were offering $300 dollars annual travel credit as reimbursement for any travel-related purchases charged to your card each account anniversary year. This travel credit was super helpful for us as it quickly (and automatically) reimbursed us for a few a Uber trips, a hotel stay, and part of a future vacation with our family! The reimbursement was automatic within Chase and I didn’t have to lift a finger to get our $300 back!

The biggest perk that we use from this travel credit card is free access to 1,000+ airport lounges worldwide! That means any time we fly out of the Mexico City airport we can kick back in one of the many VIP lounges instead of sitting in that giant open hall. It also means we never have to buy airport food again since each of the lounges have a wide variety of food and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) options that are complementary. Free food?! You know we like the sound of that.

Our main camera that we use to film is the Sony A6400 model. We love the fully tilt-able screen to use when filming ourselves as well as the ability to shoot in slow motion at 120 frames per second to get that smooth slo-mo of juicy salsa falling into a delicious taco!

For our aerial shots, we use the DJI Mavic Pro drone. This drone has an easy learning curve and super sharp images and stabilization for those beautiful blue beach clips that everyone loves. This is indeed a

great beginner drone for anyone!

There is no better camera for capturing your most intense, adrenaline pumping adventures! We typically use our GoPro to get underwater footage or whenever we want a more simple lightweight setup to film with for the day!

We spent years setting our camera up on tables, books, and kitchen appliances...buying this tripod has been a life saver. Ok, maybe that is an overstatement but we can now reliably get shots without worrying if the camera is going to fall or not. This tripod is affordable, lightweight, and super quick and easy to use.

How we make the magic happen...

The main vlogging lens we use is a Sigma 16mm wide angle lens. This is the perfect lens to grab and go and especially great for filming our faces or other things at an arm's distance. It is solid, has a great grip, and shoots extremely sharp video!

Is your footage too shaky? This gimbal has been one of the best gear purchases that we have ever made. It allows us to get silky smooth shots every time.

This 35mm lens is so affordable and so amazing at the same time. It works wonders in low light situations and it is typically our "go-to" lens for juicy b-roll segments!

LODGING

How to find the best deals online...

Hotels.com has been our preferred booking site for years now. We can always find affordable hotels in great locations and the reviews always seem to be spot on. Their website (and app) are really user friendly and we love all of the filters available. Plus, the rewards system is really good too--stay 10 nights and the 11th is free...and everyone loves free!

If we are staying in a new city for just a few nights, we prefer to stay in hotels. However, if we are going to stay for a week or more, we have found that Airbnbs are usually a better option. A major bonus is that since Airbnbs are typically individually owned, they are in AWESOME locations within cities. What this means for our travels in Mexico is that staying in an Airbnb allows us to immerse ourselves in a new city among locals immediately! You can search here and get ready to explore Mexico!
