Mexicanas y Mexicanos!
It is hard to believe that this is our FIFTH Independence Day in Mexico. Each year, Independence Day is such a special day for us to take some time to reflect on everything that Mexico has given us.
Mexico has given us the opportunity to eat some amazing food, to see some of the most beautiful places, and to meet the most incredible people across the country.
Living in Mexico has given us the opportunity to work together, to travel together, to live our best lives - together.
Sometimes it is difficult to explain 'why Mexico?' and to put into words exactly what it is about Mexico that makes us love it so much.
I think it is really the small things that make Mexico so magical-
Seeing friends each day greeting us on the streets
Eating mangos with salt, lime, and salsa
Musicians playing on the bus
Quesadillas- sin y con queso!
Buying Bubulubus from the street vendors
Saying "provecho" to people in restaurants
Did we mention tacos?!
Of course Mexico has some of the most amazing traditions, architecture, and natural beauty, and while those are breathtaking, what truly makes Mexico..well..Mexico is all of these small things combined together to create the beautiful, inspiring, festive, culturally rich, colorful, and sometimes a bit chaotic place we call home.
So with that said…
¡Vivan los héroes que nos dieron patria y libertad!
¡Víva Hidalgo!
¡Viva Morelos!
¡Viva Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez!
¡Viva Allende!
¡Vivan Aldama y Matamoros!
¡Viva la Independencia Nacional!
¡Viva México!
¡Viva México!
¡Viva México!
Now, let’s go celebrate!
