Planning Our Next Adventure

Hillary and I recently returned from a 4 month trip of a lifetime in Puerto Vallarta. We loved every minute of it and our adventure was way better than any expectations we had. We had dreamed for years about moving abroad, but now that we have done it, what in the world do we do now?

After celebrating Christmas and New Years with family and friends we will “settle down” in Belton, Texas to live with Hillary’s parents and be close our nieces and nephews in Austin and San Antonio. Going from living in paradise to living in Central Texas with your parents is a pretty huge change in scenery, but it is one that we will appreciate equally as much.

We will take a 14 day cruise in the Caribbean, have the opportunity to explore the outdoors in the Austin, Texas area, and spend time with family before we take off on our next adventure. I will have the chance to earn some money in a different capacity outside of the fitness industry, something I am excited about!

We have a few plans up our sleeves after Belton, but we certainly don’t have all the answers! Our lives will forever be different after we moved to Puerto Vallarta and we aren’t sure where this journey will take us, but we are going to enjoy every step along the way. Even the part where we live with Hillary’s parents… 🙂

We are all in charge of where we live, work, and play, but all too often we live a life of circumstance. We let others make those choices for us. Hilary and I have been working to distance ourselves from that lifestyle.

However, a consequence of this is realizing that we actually have to make those hard decisions and if we don’t like them we have nobody to blame but ourselves! With this freedom and power we have claimed comes a responsibility to live with the outcomes, good or bad!

That doesn’t sound scary, but when you’re in the drivers seat it feels a little differently!

Isn’t that what we live for though? Those moments when you are out of your comfort zone. Those moments when you feel naked and exposed. Those moments when you don’t have all the answers.

That’s what makes life exciting and memorable.

Make some tough decisions to live the life you want. You may have to live with your in-laws for a few months, but you will be happier for the experience:)

Keep in Kinetic,

Greg
